During her 20+ years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Selen has led diverse businesses and teams within and across many countries. She has a deep knowledge of country markets, structures and characteristics, not only in Central Europe, but also within other regions including Middle East, Turkey, Africa, CIS.
Selen also has extensive experience collaborating with local trade associations: she has been actively engaged throughout her career with several pharmaceutical associations; as a previous board member of Infarma in Poland, and currently a board member of AIPM in Hungary and Vice Chair for EFPIA CEE Task Force, Selen works effectively across a number of diverse industry and international stakeholder groups identifying and achieving common goals.
As a Commercial leader, a General Manager, and Head of Region, Selen has always attached great importance to interpersonal relationships, building team successes though mutual respect and ongoing, open dialogue. Her approach is focused, identifying a few clear priorities that can be excellently executed to achieve results. Using clear objective setting, collaboration between individuals and teams in order to reach consensus, Selen drives operations forward successfully that support the Merck Group strategy.
