As of November 1st, Bartlomiej (Bartek) Madej has been appointed SERCE Head of Digital and Innovation. Bartek will report operationally to Thorsten and functionally to Steffen, and will become a member of the SERCE Oncology Leadership Team. Bartek joins us from Syngenta, Switzerland where he has been working for the past 8 years, holding various IT and digital leadership roles, most recently as head of IT networks and digital collaboration.
Bartek joined Syngenta in 2011 and led several engagements, including the development and execution of the global IT and digital strategy, the transformation of IT and of the digital operating model, and the implementation of the global agile transformation. He was also involved in various mergers and acquisitions projects.
Bartek holds a master’s degree in computer science from Warsaw University of Technology and participated in the LPP Erasmus at Vrije University of Brussels. He has always been passionate about sports – he plays in the Swiss second regional basketball league and is an avid snowboarder.
